WE DID IT!!!

Lady and Gentlemen,

we did it. The application is sent and all is good. We will see what happens. For sure, it always can be better - never do we stop to strive for excellece, especially layoutout wise..but wellwellwell, jejejejejee, what can I say? In the end I spent longer working to get these orange stupid blocks in the right order and not so much on the content anymore...

thanks to Ori, the intro page looks fancy and all.

Now, which award is next?

Nobel Price? Reaching for the stars, mh?

More on the @XP Fighter Club application.

Please feel free to give inputs to this draft answers!

What steps will be taken to adjust the conference and training cycles to allow for implementation? (either in terms of content, timing, delgate profile)

- our outgoing seminar, as mentioned above, will be again opened for member from all stages

- a clear training cycle outline for the time directly after the induction process

- conferences, mainly the national one, with diverse tracks are in plan

What have been your 3 key achievements (based on your level of implementation)?

- large knowledge base, awareness and excitement by all members within the country. There is an attitude of open-mindedness within the country towards new ideas and issues based discussions were followed and lead by key individuals of the country.

- successful introduction 'live' through one of the largest conferences since long, involving all members and readjusting the content of the agenda.

- there is no doubt, that @XP will be playing a large and important role within the new teams' plan, also basing on the successful national planning that was taking into account the global outcomes and goals. Furthermore the new structure of the team as well as the diverse experiences of the team members will be supporting this.

Strengths.

I can observe myself at times, looking back at what has been throghout the year, and which capabilities we did not use most efficiently, that the good mood passes, and you start looking at things differently.

It is time, to become more matuzre, realising, that a certain level of security is only achieved after also certain experiences.

Looking ahead, there are a lot of things we can be more than proud of.
Let's not underestimate the level of attitude we transmitted throughout the year.

Tribute to the team..

first_team_picture

Niki, Ori, Willi,..Alex, we did it our way.

And now, the end is near;
And so we face the final curtain.
My friends, I’ll say it clear,
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.

We’ve lived a year that’s full.
We’ve traveled each and ev’ry highway;
And more, much more than this,
we did it our way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
We did what we had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

We planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
We did it our way.

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
we ate it up and spit it out.
We faced it all and we stood tall;
And did it our way.

We’ve loved, we’ve laughed and cried.
We’ve had our fill; our share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
we find it all so amusing.

To think we did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not us,
we did our way.

For what is a team, what has it got?
If not themselves, then it has naught.
To say the things it truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows we took the blows -
And did it our way!

Leaving the Basis.

basis_wienLadies and gentleman.
the following posting will mainly be some small impressions about places we've been, came from or always went to.

Love in times of the MC.

Ever thought of how the MC or any passionate [@] involvement actually influences your relationships? Did it with you?

Love is not the easy thing
The only baggage you can bring is
All that you can't leave behind

What you've got, they can't steal it
No they can't even feel it

Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind

Walk on...

Tralala Style.

Is it an attitude, or a personal working style?

Verdrängung, oder..?

Ori, can you explain this phenomenon further?

Old vs. new culture.

Rudolf Bahro was quoted by M. Wheatley.

"when the forms of an old culture are dying, the new culture is created by a few people who are not afraid to be insecure."

Could insecurity, self-doubt, be a good trait?
It seemes to have been this year.

Thank you for the trust seriousely. we changed culture, in many ways.

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.

Ever thought of the infuence you had on people, and on how many during this year..?
What will we pass on in the future?

good sub-community [under Global XP impl.]: http://www.aiesec.net/members/clubs/globalcoreworkdesignpioneers/one-community?page_num=4

1- We all have something to teach. We are each a unique combination of experiences, genetics and choices. Thus we each have a totally unique worldview and perspective on every issue. Even if your knowledge on a topic is not deep, your unique perspective is something that can add value to even the most knowledgeable specialist.

2- We all have something to learn. In this age of rapid change, continual new discoveries, and the obvious diversity of cultural perspectives it is clearer than ever that there is no “perfect” knowledge about the complex issues that shape our world. We are on an endless journey of discovery and thus all have something to learn from everyone and every scenario.

3- Challenging assumptions. Our worldview is a model of the universe in which we live. Each part of this model is an assumption about the world. The more we are open to recognizing and challenging our own assumptions, the more we will be able to integrate new and more accurate information into our worldview. Our assumptions are approximations, never accurate, but through continual learning we make can make them more accurate.

4- We are a community. In Africa is it said, “It takes a village to raise a child”. The AIESEC Learning environment is a community of individuals who are committed to learning and teaching, but who are also committed to ensure that all participants are learning, teaching and following the principles of the community. All members of the community are facilitators, students and teachers.

On "Power".

I think we are misusing the word bitching lately a bit too much.
I am enjoying more and more the sharing we have been doing a lot - and I have learned a lot from it as well. From the feedback you gave and still give me, from your thoughts towards my thoughts, and somehow our discussions started to be a playground for the ones that are surely about to happen outside.

One major thought lately was the one on power, and I am really happy we were not such an example this year, within AIESEC at least.

Let's not call it achievement itself, but respectful attitude.
